Your Roku® Light Strip+ SE can set the mood with multi-colored section control in 16 million colors with adjustable brightness and dynamic lighting that pulses, flickers, cascades, and more with different special effects. You have full creative control to create a vibrant rainbow, a soft ombre, or any color scheme you like with 16 individual color sections. This article provides instructions on designing individual section colors, using effects with individual sections, and troubleshooting individual sections in the Roku Smart Home mobile app.
How to design individual section colors
You can change individual sections, for a total of 16 individual colors, on your Roku Light Strip+ SE in the Roku Smart Home mobile app. On the 16-foot model, sections are 1 foot long and on the 32-foot model, sections are 2 feet long.
Use the following steps to change each color section individually in the app.
- Tap Home
from the navigation bar - Select your light strip+ or lighting group
- Select Design
- Tap and hold the light strip icon at the top of the screen until a pop up window appears
- Tap the desired sections and each selected section will show a check mark
- When all desired sections have been selected tap the X icon
- Choose a color on the color wheel or on the light temperature wheel
Repeat steps 4-7 to change the colors for other sections. Make sure to unselect any sections you do not want to edit.
How to use effects with individual sections
You can use Effects in the Roku Smart Home Mobile app to create dynamic lighting. Use Auto color to let the app automatically choose the section colors or choose up to 4 colors individual colors. Individual section color design and effects cannot be used together.
Use the following steps to choose your section colors in the app.
- Tap Home
from the navigation bar - Select your light strip+ or lighting group
- Select Effects
- Toggle Auto color off
Add a color:
- Tap Edit
- Tap +
- Choose from an existing swatch, a color on the color wheel, or a color on the light temperature wheel
- After selecting your color, tap Save
Edit an existing color:
- Tap the color you want to edit
- Choose from an existing swatch, a color on the color wheel, or a color on the light temperature wheel
- After selecting your color, tap Save
Remove a color:
- Tap Edit
- Tap the Delete icon
next to the color you want to remove
How to troubleshoot light strip+ individual sections
If the individual sections on your light strip+ are not displaying the correct color or not working correctly, try the following troubleshooting steps.
