How do I set a Parental Controls PIN for The Roku Channel?
- Go to my.roku.com from your computer or smartphone.
- If you are prompted, sign in to your Roku account.
- If you cannot sign in to your Roku account, learn what to do if you have forgotten your email address or password.
- If you cannot sign in to your Roku account, learn what to do if you have forgotten your email address or password.
- Under PIN Preference, select the Update button.
- Select your Parental Controls PIN preference from the three choices.
- Off - PIN not required to play any content.
- Little Kids - TV shows made for children and content rated U may be watched without a PIN. Content rated PG, 12A, 12, 15, 18 requires a PIN.
- Young Kids - TV shows made for children and content rated U or PG may be watched without a PIN. Content rated 12A, 12, 15, 18 requires a PIN.
- Teens - All TV shows and content rated U, PG, 12A, 12, 15 may be watched without a PIN. Content rated 18 requires a PIN.
- Select Save Changes and agree to the terms of service.
Note: Creating a Parental Controls PIN only affects the ability to restrict playback of select video content within The Roku Channel based on BBFC ratings. It does not hide or filter restricted content, nor does it affect playback outside The Roku Channel, including on any other streaming channels. Creating a PIN does not prevent users from exiting The Roku Channel and accessing content on another streaming channel.
