HDR, or High Dynamic Range, is a technology supported in higher-end 4K devices that helps to expand the range of both contrast and color. Select content on the Amazon Video channel is available in HDR, however, playback of any such title on an HDR-capable Roku TV is temporarily limited to SDR, or Standard Dynamic Range.
Note: HDR playback on HDR-capable Roku players is not affected.
What is happening to resolve the issue?
Roku continues working with Amazon to investigate and resolve the issue. In the meantime, there is no need to contact Roku Customer Support. When a solution is in place and HDR playback is restored, this article will be updated.
