How to use your Roku TV™ with a universal remote

In many cases, you can program your cable or satellite universal remote control to also control your Roku TV.

Look for your provider and remote control in the list below and enter the TV code provided into the remote control. You will need to have instructions for programming the remote control handy. Check with your cable or satellite provider for instructions.

1By default, the remote control's channel control capabilities are locked to the Cable Box. This will guarantee that you do not inadvertently change a channel on the Cable Box while in the TV mode. However, you can deactivate Channel Control Lock to allow full access to keys for use with Roku TV. Follow the instructions here to deactivate Channel Control Lock.

3To use your Harmony remote with Roku TV, follow the steps listed here to add Roku TV to your remote. Enter the name of the manufacturer ( i.e. Hisense, Insignia, Sharp, or TCL) and then enter “Roku TV” in the Model Number field.
