How do I add, update or remove my payment information on my Roku account?

Having a payment method on file in your Roku account makes it easy and convenient to purchase or rent movies and TV shows when the mood strikes.  Here's how to do it.

What types of payment methods can be used?

Accepted payment methods are either a credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover) or PayPal.

Add, update or change my payment method

    1. Log into your Roku account here. (Forgot your Roku account password? Click here)
    2. Click Update under the Payment Method section.
    3. When adding a new payment method, ensure all fields are entered before clicking the Submit button. (Including all credit card details, full name, address and phone number)
    4. When making any change or edit, re-enter all fields before clicking the Submit button. (All credit card details, full name, address and phone number should be visible)

Remove my payment method

    1. Click Update under the Payment Method section.
    2. Click Remove Payment Method below the Submit Info button.
    3. Accept payment method removal by clicking the Remove button.

Payment method update/changes not accepted?

When adding, changing or editing a payment method, ensure that all the following are re-entered correctly into the fields, and all information is visible before clicking the Submit button:

  • Payment method details (including credit card number, security number, expiration date).
  • Replace ************ characters with card number.
  • Enter expiration date and security code.
  • Your full name, address and phone number.

 **Re-enter all fields even when making partial changes like updating your address or credit card expiration date.
